Se celebraron durante los días 3 y 4 de Diciembre en la maravillosa ciudad de Benissa provincia de Alicante el II Campeonato Nacional de Taekwon-Do Tradicional, auspiciado por la Federación Española de Taekwon-Do Tradicional y la International Traditional Taekwon-Do Federation (ITTAF). Durante el fin de semana se realizaron las competiciones de combate, formas Tul y Defensa Personal, en las modalidades de individual, equipo, categorías infantil, junior y senior.
Se celebraron durante los días 15 al 20 de Diciembre en la maravillosa ciudad de Guatemala capital de Guatemala el I CENTROAMERICANO POR EQUIPOS DE ITTAF EN GUATEMALA de Taekwon-Do Tradicional, auspiciado por la Asociación Guatemalteca de Taekwon-Do Tradicional , Panamerican Traditional Taekwon-Do Federation PATTAF y la International Traditional Taekwon-Do Federation (ITTAF). La Federación de Taekwon-Do Tradicional de Afganistán celebra su segundo seminario nacional.
La Federación de Taekwon-Do Tradicional de Afganistán, celebró su segundo seminario nacional, dirigido por el representante oficial en Afganistán, Master Gula Jan Wafa 7º dan Presidente de la ATTAF (Asia Tradicional Taekwon-Do Federación).
Como se puede apreciar la progresión de Afganistán es cada día mayor, el trabajo que se esta realizando con respecto a la difusión de ITTAF en Asia es muy considerable.
El gobierno de Afganistán ha reconocido como deporte oficial el Taekwon-Do Tradicional ITTAF, reconocimiento avalado también por el Comité Olímpico Afgano.
El Maestro Young Seon Cho, 8º dan de Taekwon-Do Tradicional ITTAF, seleccionador de la Asociación Gallega de Taekwon-Do Tradicional y Presidente Honorifico de ITTAF, realizará próximamente, varios seminarios de competición en Chile y Colombia, todos los interesados deberán ponerse en contacto con los respectivos organizadores.
Gran Curso de Taekwon-Do Tradicional impartido por el Grand Master Agustín Trigo en Portugal.
El pabellón de deportes de Rio Tinto, fue el escenario de un gran curso de Taekwondo Tradicional ITTAF, donde acudieron deportistas de toda la geografía de Portugal: Lisboa, Coimbra, Oporto, etc. aprovechando la estancia del G.M. Agustin Trigo en ese país.
El curso dio comienzo a las 9 de la mañana del día 19 de Junio, con una amplia charla sobre conceptos del Taekwondo Tradicional, psicología y metodología del entrenamiento, calistenia, etc. a continuación se procedió al entrenamiento de los tul, técnicas especiales, combate programado, etc. terminando con el estudio de los puntos de presión como arma de defensa, en jornada de tarde se entró en el mundo de la defensa personal "Ki Son Sul", donde se exhibió una amplio repertorio de técnicas a mano vacía y con armas, cuchillo y bastón corto en esta ocasión, lo cual hizo las delicias de todos los practicantes ansiosos de ampliar conocimientos en este tema.

El pasado sábado día 2 de julio se celebró en la ciudad de Almàssera el I Campeonato Regional Infantil ITTAF de la Comunidad Valenciana.

Reunión de ITTAF en Afghanistan.
ITTAF sigue creciendo.
El maestro “CHO” de Corea, 8º Dan de ITTAF , (Federación Internacional de Taekwondo Tradicional) con un palmarés envidiable y difícil de superar, primero como deportista y luego como maestro, habiendo sido campeón de Corea y campeón de Asia, que es tanto como decir campeón del mundo, se integra en nuestra organización.
Imparte clases de Taekwondo Tradicional en el gimnasio Body World de La Coruña, es médico naturista y ha sido designado por nuestra federación junto con el G.M. Agustín Trigo para seguir difundiendo el Taekwondo Tradicional en todos los ámbitos de nuestra geografía; confiamos en que contribuirá con su presencia a la grandeza de ITTAF haciendo gala con su presencia en la mesa de autoridades en el próximo mundial de Croacia.
La ciudad de Nahariya ha acogido el primer seminario ITTAF de Israel, impartido por Master francesc Campanya y asistido por el instructor y presidente de la asociación ITTAF israelí Leonardo Pereira.
Con una amplia participación de jovenes promesas del Taekwon-do Tradicional, el seminario se ha desarrollado en dos días dividiendo a los participantes en dos gupos. El día 17 para los mas jovenes y el día 19 para juniors y seniors, dedicando unas horas en especial a los cintos negros.
Ha sido un seminario muy instructivo y dinámico donde todos los participantes han hecho gala de una buena preparación y un gran entusiamo.
La asociacion ITTAF de Israel está trabajando para presentar la candidatura de Nahariya como sede del Europeo para el 2012.

El Sabum Andrés Muñiz de Puerto Rico estará estos días realizando un curso en México, donde también aprovechará para celebrar una reunión de ITTAF.
Although I had some problems at Paris airport in both ways of my trip, because of the chaos caused by the bad weather, we got the goal of expanding ITTAF in the region of Croatia.
During the trip I met with several Masters from Croatia, Bosnia and England.

It was held on Sunday December 5th at the sports hall "Alfredo Branas" in the city of Carballo, La Coruña, an unbeatable setting for the official presentation of the gray dobok.
The event was attended by Grand Master Agustin Trigo, Senior Master Francesc Campaña, Master Carlos Fraga, Senior Master Mario Pons and Master Alejo Crespo. A luxury! We want to give a special mention to Senior Master Vicente Martínez, who was unable to attend the event due to personal reasons.
The championship was a success, even though some adversities, like the bad weather and the air traffic controllers strike, were against us. However, to the Galician city came a large number of competitors, referees, managers and associates, both from the national territory and from the neighboring country, Portugal.
Thanks to a great arbitration performance, that was serious and meticulous, the competition went by with no incidents and it was an entertaining show for the audience.
The course took place on Saturday 4th December in the gym Chong, located in 7 Estrella Street, Carballo (A Coruña – Galicia).
It was led by Grand Master Augustin Trigo, founder of this style throughout Europe, and IX Dan of Traditional Taekwon-Do.
For two hours, G.M. Trigo delighted the participants with a wide range of self-defense techniques, including projections, levers, locks, techniques to loosen the grips and so on.
The course was very practical and dynamic and all participants were satisfied and impressed by the great energy of Grand Master Agustin when he executes the techniques.
We are looking forward to repeat such a pleasant experience as soon as possible.

Last Friday November 12nd in Querheim, and Saturday 13rd in Bad Holshausen, two intensive courses were given. There were testings up to V Dan.
Courses were given by SM Francesc Campanya. They were divided into three parts: kicking techniques with a comprehensive training program; Hossin Sul defense techniques; and, finally, practice and study of Tuls.
Alexander Koch was examined for V Dan. He delighted us with a high technical and strength level. Also, Juri Ttxerkaj passed his exam for I Dan. He showed great skills, thanks to his preparation and work.

Note in the Israeli newspaper, about the Traditional Taekwon-Do and the first black belt promotions ITTAF.
The second International Instructor ITTAF course took place the last 9th and 10th of October in the Valencian town of Almàssera (Spain).
It was led by three Senior VIII Dan masters: Master Mario Pons, Master Francesc Campaña and Master Vicente Martínez.
The course lasted two days, where performaces and corrections from Chon-Ji to Tong-Il were made, emphasizing the practical application of each techniques.
The couse also consisted fo sparring exercises and prepared competition techniques; competition rules and arbitration, in a new way of teaching, since all participants went through each gesture and terminology term at all together.
Te course took place on Sunday 3rd of October. Since ITTAF is being introduced and expansed throughout the world, and because of the poroximity, Grand Master Agustín Trigo IX Dan completed a course of Traditional Taekwon-Do in Oporto (Portugal). GM Agustín shifted to the neighboring country to give a course of Tuls (patterns) and their applications in practice. In the course participated about 30 teachers, from I to VI Dan, of WTF and ITF and their students, who now enter our organization ITTAF, which is the only body in the world that still practice the teachings of the creator and founder of Traditional Taekwon-Do, General Choi, after the collapse of several ITF's federations, which have created other subdivisions.
This course took place in a privileged place for ITTAF, the Unoversity of Gondomar (Oporto). This place was chosen for the event after a reception by the Mayor of the city and the Speaker of the House.
Days: Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th of October 2010.
Saturday: Morning 11 to 14; Afternoon 15.30 to 18.30.
Sunday: Morning 11 to 14; later the delivery of diplomas and International Instructor exams (multiple choice written exam) will be done.

Ist World Traditional Taekwon-Do Championships, Junior, Senior and Veterans, official sport
It will be held in Umag city in Hrvatska (Croatia) from 3 to 9 May, 2011. The categories will be Junior, Senior and Veterans, male and female. In the Championships there will be the following modalities:
- individual and team Sparring,
- individual and team Pattern,
- individual and team Power Breaking,
- individual and team Special Techniques,
- individual Special Artistic Techniques, and
- team Self Defense (3x1).
In individual modalities just one competitor per country and per category will be allowed. Teams will consist of 3 members. There will be anti-doping control.

The First International Traditional Taekwon-Do two-day Seminar held in Sheldon Park, Dublin was an outstanding success with fifty participants from Canada, Spain, Poland, Moldova, Germany and Ireland in attendance.
The Seminar Instruction Team was led by Grand Master Lim Ching Sing from Canada with Senior Masters Francesc Campanya from Spain and Paul Kavanagh from Ireland.

In the northern German town of Pr. Oldendorf, a Traditional Taekwon-Do seminar took place. Maester Francesc Campanya counted with more than 20 participants from this area.
In this seminar, the main items were carrying biomechanics and an analysis of patterns, from Chon-Ji to Yul-Gok. Also, there were explanations of how to apply these pattern techniques in three steps technical combat system (Sambo Matsogi).
We have achieved our goals in the tournament Jumper Sea has been a success, both in organization and in the great work of our athletes. All of them belong to the "International Taekwon-Do Schools Linyan", Santa Susanna, Vilassar and Mataró.
Four hours were filled with emotions, our students have managed to convey the spirit of Taekwon-Do traditional participatory and enthusiastic audience. The Catalan Association of Traditional Taekwon-Do has delivered the first championship for the beginner who certainly has made a sport experience needed to tackle the sports calendar of 2011 with guarantees of victory.
Congratulations to all! Competitors, referees, coaches and generally throughout the organization.
V Croatia Open-Christmas Cup

On May 8th and 9th of May 2010, Grand Master Lim conducted his second annual seminar in Preveza, Greece. The event was organised through the efforts of Spiros Nastopoulos 6th Dan as a part of Grand Master Lim's European tour.
A vast amount of knowledge was passed to the students through sparring combinations, patterns (Tuls) and practical self defence based on General Choi Hong Hi principles.
Senior Master Georgios Stylianides, from Greece, pioneer of Traditional Taekwon-Do in Europe, will attend as a guest the course organized by the Senior Master Paul Kavanagh in August in Ireland.
Senior Master Georgios Stylianides was one of the pioneers of Traditional Taekwon-Do in Europe and the former Secretary of the international federation to which he belonged.
On Saturday June 5, a course taught by Senior Master Francesc Campany took place in the German town of Bad Holzhausen. This course was organized by the German Association of Traditional Taekwon-Do.
The course was specially addressed to the field of sparring, with broad participation of students from the center of Taekwon-Do in Bad Holzhausen.
It was a dynamic course, as usual in Senior Master Francesc, where it is worth to emphasize the amenity and originality with which the event developed.
This prestigious event will be hosted by SM Paul Kavanagh VIII Degree, one of 1st Senior GM Rhee's TKD Pioneers in Ireland since October 1970.
Leading the Seminar Team is Famous TKD World Master & Acting ITTAF Board Director, GM Lim from Canada.
Also on the Team is the Acting ITTAF Technical Director, SM Francesc Campanya.

On May 5th, Grand Master Lim conducted a seminar in Krakow, Poland. The event was organised through the efforts of Mikolaj Kotowicz, 4th Dan as a part of Grand Master Lim's European tour.
In Krakow, Grand Master Lim conducted classes for children demonstrating how an indomitable spirit can take them to higher levels of the art of Taekwon-Do. The seminar for adults was a substantial dose of knowledge of the techniques and their application, not only in the art of patterns but also in self-defence..
A vast amount of knowledge was passed to the through sparring combinations, patterns (Tuls) and practical self defence. The participants of all ages and experience from a 4 year old to 7th Dan instructors enjoyed the time spent with Grand Master Lim and all were rewarded with hand signed certificates from the Grand Master.
We are all looking forward to the next seminar.
On May 3rd, Grand Master Lim conducted a seminar in Swidnik, Poland. The event was organised through the efforts of Piotr Bernat, 5th Dan as a part of Grand Master Lim's European tour.
In Swidnik, Grand Master Lim conducted classes for children and adults alike, demonstrating to Polish students his dynamic and fluid style of Traditional TaeKwon-Do International.
A vast amount of knowledge was passed to the through sparring combinations, patterns (Tuls) and practical self defence. The participants of all ages and experience from a 4 year old to 5th Dan instructors enjoyed the time spent with Grand Master Lim and all were rewarded with hand signed certificates from the Grand Master Lim.
However, not all was work and precious time was taken for sightseeing and tasting the Polish cuisine in local authentic restaurants all the while discussing the great legacy of Gen. Choi TaeKwon-Do, the founder of this form of martial arts.
On the 1st of May 2010, members of our club had the pleasure of meeting Grandmaster James Lim. He led the seminar in Gdansk at the Academic Sports Center. During his tour in Poland, he also visited Swidnik and Krakow. Grand Master arrived at Gdansk the day before the seminar giving us the opportunity to talk about martial arts and TaeKwonDo in general. Some of the activities that we included were visiting Sopot and its pier (one of the longest in Europe) and we went to the University of Technology in Gdansk, where we took many memorial photos.
Next day, the seminar started at 10 o'clock. More than 30 people from 3 different TaeKwonDo clubs arrived to see and learn from Grandmaster James Lim. After a short warm-up, Grand Master explained some of the details in the basic (Tul) patterns.

From ITTAF, we regret the tragic death of the great Master PABLO SABALAIN in a car accident. He was born in Argentine and lived many years in Chile, where he was one of the most important precursors of Traditional Taekwon-Do. Once back to his homeland, Argentina, we received the news of his tragic death.
He has left us a good teacher, competitor and a great person, a personal friend of SM Mario Pons, who he kept a very close relationship with.
People like you have made that Traditional Taekwon-Do is in the place it deserves, regardless of style or organization.

From our website we want to welcome our delegate in Italy, VIC ANTICO, who is well-known in the Italian martial world. He is world champion of Kick Boxing; Master of Kung Fu, Traditional Taekwon-do, Kick Boxing etc. Since now, he is our representative in Italy. Its influence across Italy is awesome. He is the director of several Italian magazines and newspapers publications. Moreover, he is a good commentator on Italian television events, where he is constantly working. It cannot be ignored that his big hobby are martial arts, and now, thanks to his friendship of many years with S. Master Mario Pons, has decided to give a major boost to ITTAF in Italy, through sports and supporting agencies from the media under his direction; the publicity ITTAF needs to prevail in Italy.
His experience, he is not in vain 8th dan, is more than enough to push ITTAF very hard, not only in Italy but worldwide.

Taking advantage of the I European Traditional Taekwon-Do Championship and the I World Congress of the International Traditional Taekwon-Do Federation, which will be held from 3 to 8 May 2011 in the city of Umag (Croatia), it will be held the I Intercontinental Cup of Traditional Taekwon-Do. Grand Master Lim Ching Sing will give an international seminar. He is one of the pioneer and disciple of General Choi Hong Hi and a very respected person thanks to his technical and human quality. The seminar will be held in Valencia, Spain, region where our sport is officially recognised by the government.
Grand Master Lim is part of the provisional International Traditional Taekwon-Do Federation (ITTAF) Executive Committee.
The seminar, that was going to take place next month, is postponed to September. You could find all the information (when and where it will take place) in this website. Moreover, there will be International Instructors exams (written tests).

Grand Master Park Jong Soo 9 Dan, direct disciple of Founder General Choi Hong Hi and a pioneer of Traditional Taekeon-Do in the world, leaves his federation for obvious reasons. It seems that, since the death of General Choi, there has not been light. Master Park's thinking is the same than ours: the unification, the union of all practicians of this modality. Hence, the happiness that our federation experiments for counting on a Grand Master.
Humble, a good person, with very fixed ideas. That's why we are pleased and full of pride and satisfaction that Masters with his quality realise that 'union makes strength' and not 'divide and you will win'.
Congratulations Grand Master Park for having that thoughts and also for the support that CISM has given you to introduce Traditional Taekwon-Do in that sphere.

- handing over to the founder members of the official documentation and the appropriate copies of all legal registers;
- ratification and approval of the founders members of ITTAF (one federation per country);
- approval of the Constitution by the members of the General Assembly (there could be two representatives per country) according to Sportaccord (GAISF) rules;
